About Us

**Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are adjusting our time and location of meetings to keep everyone safe. Below is our typical meeting information, but please see our COVID-19 page for more information about the 2020/2021 MOPS year**

Eight women. The number was small, but the need was great!
The first MOPS meeting took place in February 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. For two hours, while their children received care, these mothers talked, laughed, ate, had a craft, and ended with a short devotional. In this humble beginning, the seeds of the MOPS concept and format were planted. Through friendship, creative outlets, and instruction, the women began to understand that “mothering matters”. Today, the same needs for significance are met in much the same way in MOPS groups across the United States and around the world.

MOPS is for mothers of children from infancy through kindergarten, and MOMSnext is a new ministry arm of MOPS for mothers of school-age children.
This means that our group is open to ANY mother of children, from the time you are pregnant through when your children are in 12th grades.
Both have the goal of equipping moms to handle the joys and challenges of motherhood.

Our goal is to help mothers find friendship and acceptance, develop mothering skills, and promote spiritual growth.
The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire — to be the best mothers they can be.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Great Room at Crossroads Fellowship
2721 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27604
919.981.0222
There is a large parking lot in front of the entrance off Millbrook Road. Once inside the church, moms will direct you to nursery, preschool hallway, and the Great Room.
We welcome women from throughout the community.
You do not need to be a member of Crossroads Fellowship to join.
