A message from our Crossroads MOPS Finance Coordinator.... As you may have seen from our registration form, our MOPS dues have increased for this upcoming MOPS year starting Fall 2020. We wanted to share a quick explanation and budget overview with you so you can understand the reason for this increase. Click the image below to watch the video. We are also accepting requests for childcare refunds for the 4 meetings we missed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are in need of a refund please fill out the our refund request form by May 31st, otherwise we will use this money to gift our childcare workers who lost their expected income.

Join us on May 12th for our last MOPS meeting of the 2019/2020 year before we break for summer! We are switching things up a bit and coming at you with a live speaker during nap time! We really hope you can tune in on Facebook to watch the live event, but it will also be available later at your convenience as well. Author Candice DeLeeuw will be speaking to us about "Finding Truth Amidst the Lies." We will discuss the top 5 lies we struggle with and how we can hear God in the middle of the doubt/chaos/darkness/right now. Access the online event here.

Also for every 10 moms we register before June 30, we get 1 scholarship so your extra $2 will greatly help our ministry! Starting July 1, it goes up to 1 scholarship for every 20 moms.

We meet at 9:30am in the room right near the entrance of the preschool hallway. 

We currently have vacancies for publicity, speakers, and A/V. 

If you have a passion for one of the other areas, I'm sure that momma would love a team of helpers, especially hospitality!

MOPS Areas of Service:  

• MOPPETS: Oversees the MOPPETS children’s ministry lessons and crafts. 
• Finance: Oversees group finances and member registration.  Facilitates fundraiser.  
• Hospitality: Organizes staples for the brunch table (napkins, plates, utensils and coffee), sets up the room before meetings.  Secures sponsors for our meetings. 
• Publicity: Coordinates internal communication (newsletters, e-mail, blog, Facebook group) and external marketing for the group. 
• Crafts: Organizes the creative activities for the group meetings. 
• Speakers: Secures guest speakers for our meetings. 
• Audiovisual: Runs the powerpoint, music, sound equipment during our meetings. 
• Small Group Leaders: Coordinates the small groups, facilitates discussion during meetings.

We'd also like to invite you to come with some of our current team to the MOPS Leadership Event for the Triangle Area on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00am to 1:30pm at Crosspointe Church in Cary. This event is for all leaders, including all the mamas who may be considering leadership in the future.

Be You, Bravely!

Your 2014-2015 Leadership Team is officially geared up for the new MOPS year! 

This past weekend we were able to gather for our retreat at the beach and had a great time getting to know one another without all the little ones demanding our attention. We are privileged to be serving alongside these genuinely sweet, hilarious, Christ-honoring ladies. We are all so excited about what this year will bring! 

The theme for the year will be...

 
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

At any given moment in our lives each of us has...

Conversations we've been putting off.

Reasonable risks we've been avoiding.

Goals we want to achieve.

Yet often times the more significant an action feels the easier it is to put it off.  We get distracted from the big decisions by the immediate needs of the day. What all of us seem to have in common is that we need a nudge, a nudge to help us get out of our ruts and routines so that we can begin risking bravely.

         Sometimes, good people wait patiently for God to intervene when what he is wanting is for us to act bravely and do something. Being a follower of Jesus calls for courage. The journey feels unexpected and unconventional. It requires bravely playing hide and seek in the dark, confronting the fears that scare us and holding the hand of a redeemer-guide who calls us to courageous acts of risk and trust. It means coloring outside of the lines. Dreaming bigger than we ever have before and getting swept up into the plans of a God who leaves us breathless with wonder.

Our hope is that through our meetings this year, we will remind you, as moms, that it takes courage to ask brave questions and even more courage to search for the answers.

  We are so excited to journey alongside you this year as we ask one another what it means to  “Be You, Bravely”.
