Important MOPS Information

Our Next Meeting
We are looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday, October 13th.  Drop off begins at 9:15am!

We will hear from Wendy on Raising Big Faith in Little Hearts.  Her description:
How in our busy schedules of dishes, dance class, and laundry are we supposed to fit “religious education” for our children? God has laid out the perfect plan, and it doesn’t require you to sign up for yet another activity. In this session we will explore how to intentionally start growing a big faith in our children through the everyday moments of life.

Bethany's group is bringing brunch for everyone so come ready to eat and enjoy time together!
We will also be raffling off a bag full of Trader Joe's goodies!
We are feeding 70+ moms each morning at MOPS so here's a few things to keep in mind when your group has brunch!
  • Please sign up to bring 2 or more items.  We want to provide an an excellent brunch for everyone.  We chose this year not to double up groups for brunch assignments so that moms wouldn't have to bring brunch as frequently; this does mean it will need a little extra love on your assigned day though.
  • One egg/potato dish should be 9x13 size or equivalent.
  • If you know you will not be able to provide food on your scheduled day, please contact another member of your small group to make arrangements for drop-off.
  • If your child has a nut allergy, be cautious bringing (s)he in to the Great Room.  We strive to keep the kids' classrooms nut-free but can not guarantee that for brunch items brought in.
  • Please label your food, especially if there are allergens.  We will have sticky notes at the cart and on the table to label your food.
We had to adjust the brunch schedule slightly.
October 13th - Bethany
October 27th - Danielle
November 10th - Hannah & Jackie
November 24th - Sarah
The rest of the list can be found here:
Curbside drop-off will begin at approximately 9:10am and 9:25am.  A member of the Leadership Team will be there with a cart to collect items to make it easier for you to get in to the building with your kids!
Because of some mom's stricter diets, we have also added an "allergy free dish" to our sign-up.  The allergy free item should be free of nuts, nut milk, wheat (gluten), dairy, and soy; you can label your item has allergen free and list the ingredients.  You are not able to accommodate every allergy/intolerance, but these are the  most common.

Feel free to sign up for brunch in advance!  Visit:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d48aaad2ca13-crossroads

A new semester!

Happy New Year!
We will be kicking off a new semester this coming Tuesday, January 13th at 9:30am.
We hope you will continue to be reminded to "Be You, Bravely" throughout the rest of the year because as moms it takes courage to ask brave questions and even more courage to search for the answers.

Returning moms, we can't wait to reconnect, and new moms, we can't wait to meet you and are so glad you are joining our group!
Our "FAQ" section on this blog may help answer some of your questions, but please let us know if you have more!
You can stay connected with us at our Facebook page
and our closed Facebook group (search Crossroads MOPS of Raleigh).

This week we will have a preschool panel sharing about different preschool options!

We have decided to have 2 groups host brunch for each meeting this semester.
Heather Pendleton and Tracy's groups have brunch for January 13th.

Come on in!

We decided to create this blog as an overflow from our MOPS meetings.
There are so many talented moms with so much to share!  We hope to use this blog as a tool to encourage, inspire, and even entertain you.
You can check here for previews of upcoming meetings and special events, re-caps of meetings you might have to miss, and announcements of dates and times to include on your calendar.

We will also be sharing tips and tricks that we find useful in the daily work of mothering. We invite you to interact with us in the comment section; please feel free to share your comments and opinions of what works for you.
We hope this little spot in cyberspace will evolve into a source of information and inspiration as we journey together in this crazy adventure called Motherhood.

We are so excited to see everyone at the first meeting on Tuesday, September 9th at 9:30am.
Children may be dropped off in childcare at 9:15 a.m. or later.
Come out to the first meeting and enjoy time with other moms, while we learn how to bravely be ourselves this upcoming year.

If you are new to MOPS, this is a great time to check us out to see what we are all about! Of course, if you can not attend the first meeting, you may join us at anytime during the year. We look forward to meeting you!

You can also stay connected with us at our Facebook page
and our closed Facebook group (search Crossroads MOPS of Raleigh).
See you soon!
