COVID-19 Information

Just like the rest of the world, we have had to adjust our normal MOPS operations for the 2020/2021 year. We will be offering both a virtual and in-person meeting option for the Fall semester. Our in-person meetings have been modified from our typical location and time in order to accommodate everyone safely. We will monitor state and local guidelines and may return to the Millbrook location and our typical morning meeting format with childcare in the Spring.

Below you will find meeting details and our COVID-19 policies and procedures during meetings. Please be advised that this may change due to the ever-changing state and local pandemic guidelines.

When: Meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm. No childcare will be provided. Nursing babies are welcome to attend with their mother if needed.

In-Person Location: 13029 Keith Store Road, Wake Forest, NC

Our host church, Crossroads Fellowship, has a Wake Forest location that has an outdoor picnic shelter that can accommodate our group safely. The shelter is located behind the church by the playground. Feel free to park anywhere in the parking lot nearby.

Virtual Meeting Option: If you are uncomfortable with meeting in person, we will have a virtual meeting option as well. We will use Google Meet to have our virtual attendees call in and attend the meeting from the comfort of their own home. There will be a virtual small group online for discussion and other icebreaker activities.

Dues: Childcare will not be provided during the Fall semester evening meetings. Due to this change, local Fall dues will not be collected, but we ask that you register and pay your $31.95 MOPS International dues to gain access to the great online content. If cost is a factor for you, scholarships are available.

Meeting Procedures:

  • Please do not attend the meeting if you or anyone in your immediate family has been sick within the last week.
  • We will not have our typical potluck style brunch during the meeting. If any food is provided by MOPS it will be individually wrapped for easy grab and go. Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks for yourself from home. Individual water bottles will be provided.
  • Please bring your own lawn chair so we can space ourselves out at 6 feet distances. We will place markers on the floor at safe intervals for your convenience.
  • Please wear a face mask when within 6 feet of others. Once you are safely seated you may remove your mask to eat and drink.
  • Hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes will be provided.
