Brunch

**Food will not be offered during the 2020/2021 fall semester. Below is our typical brunch information during normal operations.**

Brunch is only possible because of you!
Here are a few reminders...
  • Each small group will bring brunch 6 times during the year.
  • Small Groups will receive an email reminder to sign up approximately one or two weeks prior to their assigned date.  You are also welcome to sign-up in advance; just look for your group's dates!
  • Please sign up to bring two or more items.
  • Egg/potato dishes should be 9x13 size or equivalent
  • Curbside drop-off for breakfast items is available at the Millbrook entrance beginning at 9:10 a.m. and ending at 9:25 a.m.  A member of our Leadership Team will have a cart near the sidewalk to collect items to make it easier for you to get in the building with your kids!
For the allergy free/special diet dish, please label your dishes accordingly and with an ingredients list.
  • Allergy Free: Free of common allergens such as nuts (including nut milks and butters) gluten/wheat (bread, some oats) and milk/ dairy products (milk, cheese, cream, butter).
  • Vegetarian: Free of meats and fish (some vegetarians eat eggs, some do not).
  • Dairy Free: Free of all milk products (milk, cream, cheese, butter, etc.)
"I'm not Martha Stewart, and cooking really isn't my forte.  Do I have to bring food?"
We all love having brunch available and not having to cut it into little pieces for our little ones!  We need everyone to participate on their turn for brunch  so we have enough for everyone.  Some of the options allow you to showcase your cooking skills while some only require a stop by the store.  Nobody expects you to be Martha Stewart so something store-bought is perfectly fine.

"I’m signed up to bring food this meeting, but now I can’t make it to the meeting.  Do I still need to bring something?"
To make sure we have enough breakfast for everyone, if at all possible we need you to still be responsible for food getting to the meeting even if you can’t.  You can try trading with someone who isn’t signed up to bring food this month.  (You can always post on the MOPS Facebook page to see if anyone can help.)  You can also contact your small group leader; if it’s a last minute cancellation and you have food already prepared, ask a mom from your neighborhood/area if she would mind picking it up on her way to MOPS.
