Your body is a temple : January 31st meeting

We are so glad it worked out to fit in our second MOPS meeting this month! It was a great meeting and we would have hated to have missed out on it, so we're glad so many of you were able to be there.

Sumer Hilker spoke with us this week about our bodies being a temple. In order to accomplish the things God has for us, we have to treat ourselves and our bodies well. Ask yourself, what does it mean to me for my body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit?

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

We are excited to start the 28 Day Challenge to becoming Starry Eyed on February 1! We have a copy of the challenge prompts below. Each day holds a Truth or a Challenge to ask yourself or accomplish in order to encourage you to live a life of wonder, hope and kindness. It all leads up to your One Big Thing you want to challenge yourself with this year. This could be something you've always wanted to do (skydive or take salsa dancing lessons) or something that you want to accomplish in your life (perhaps taking steps towards being a better friend, mother or wife). Start thinking now about what you want to accomplish and start making plans to putting it into action!

Arbonne sponsored our meeting this week. Thank you for the wonderful raffle gifts that you donated to our group!

Our MOPPETS this week learned about the story of David and Goliath, focused on how David was a man after God's own heart and how God gave him the power to defeat a giant.
